Survival Run
Released in 1983, Survival Run was developed by Rob Zdybel and published by Fox Video Games. The game is one of the first examples of attempted first-person exploration simulation on the Atari 2600, with a quite ambitious proposal for the time.
In Survival Run, the player pilots a ship through a three-dimensional maze full of curves and narrow passages, viewed in pseudo-3D. The goal is to navigate the maze, avoid obstacles, face alien enemies, and find the exit before oxygen runs out.
Besides navigation, the player needs to manage resources like fuel and oxygen, facing time and aim challenges, while firing at enemies appearing in the passages.
