Jungle hunt
Chopper Command is a horizontal scrolling shooter developed by Bob Whitehead for the Atari 2600 and published by Activision in June 1982. The player controls a military helicopter protecting a convoy of trucks traveling along a highway from aerial enemies.
Chopper Command plays similarly to the arcade game Defender. The player flies over a desert landscape while a long-range radar at the bottom of the screen tracks enemies and the convoy. The goal is to destroy enemy fighters and helicopters before they bomb the player's convoy. Scoring is based on enemies destroyed, and bonus points are awarded for each truck that survives a wave.
As with many Activision games, reaching a high score (10,000 points) allowed players to send a photo to Activision and receive a "Chopper Commandos" patch.
